Mac Creme Cup Lipstick

Mac's Creme Cup lipstick was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a light almost nude shade but something that I could wear daily and this is perfect!

The website describes it as a light blue pink. I'm an nc15 and this color suites me really well. As you can see from the first picture it is a cremesheen finish so it glides on the lips very well and isn't too drying either.

Here's the swatch, I actually think it shows up lighter on my lips than in the picture but I love it nonetheless. Also, I couldn't have a post on a mac lipstick without mentioning the lovely vanilla scent yum!
This lipstick retails for $14.50 at any Mac store or online at http://www.maccosmetics.com/product/shaded/168/310/Lipstick/index.tmpl

Anyone with fair-medium skintones looking for a nice everyday light pink lipstick should definitely try this out.

On Saturday, I received a few early Easter presents from my aunt. Lucky for me she remembered my love for Lush and picked me up a few colorful new gifts :D

Sakura Bath Bomb

Yuzu and Cocoa Bubble Bar

Pop in the Bath Bubble Bar

Twilight Bath Bomb

And last is this cute chick wrap that has the Immaculate Eggception inside. I think this is the cutest thing and surprisingly I've never tried any of these so I'm very excited!

March 2012 Wishlist!

These are just a couple of items I've had my eye on for a while XD
Korres Lip Butter in Guava : I already know that I love these to death but I want the clear one for days that I don't want a tint to my lips. I explained my love for them on a blog post here

Tangle Teezer : Brushing your hair when it's wet is a huge no no, but when I have to style my hair, I have no choice. This seems like a better alternative for my fragile hair.

Lioele BB Cream : I really want to try any BB cream actually, the problem is though that most are too dark :(

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush : Heard great things about these. Can't decide if I want to try Blissful or Exposed first. Hmm...

Boscia Cooling Cleansing Oil : For the past year or so I've really enjoyed my MAC cleanse off oil, but I have an itch to try something new.

Speaking of BB cream, another light foundation type of thing I want to try is the Makeup Forever Face and Body. I would like something light and natural looking for spring and summer.
Even though sadly these ballet pumps from H&M will probably never be in my possession I can still dream right? I saw these last weekend but they didn't have my size anywhere and they don't sell online in the U.S. Still trying to find a way to make them MINE!

Take care! xx

Inglot matte top coat

Recently, I acquired a few things from Inglot, one of which is this matte top coat for your nails. I've wanted a matte top coat for a while now, just something to change up my regular nail polish.

I don't know how this stuff works, but it sure does, and fast! I didn't expect my glossy nail polish to become matte so quickly.

You do have to apply this kind of quickly because going over areas again that are already becoming matte can mess up the finish, but this product really is great.

Here, I applied it over Essie's "Cute as a button". You wouldn't expect it to be much different but it's almost like a new polish. I really couldn't stop looking at my nails after I had tried this for the first time!
For the 15 ml bottle it will cost $10 and it can be bought online at http://www.inglotusa.com or at any Inglot store.
Looking for a new look for your nails? Try this matte top coat, it gives such a cool effect!

Chanel eyelash curlers

Now it's about time for something fancy! I will admit that these were a gift and I could never see myself shelling out the money , but I'm sure glad I have them.

I've never been a huge eyelash curler fan. I barely used them before, also the ones I had before were from Forever21 (hah!) . The Shu Uemura eyelash curlers are more well known but I have to say the Chanel ones are fantastic. I can't imagine my eyelashes looking better or more open with anything else.

They retail for $34 and can be bought at Nordstrom or where ever there's a Chanel counter. If you're someone who has trouble curling your lashes and are interested in something more high-end, give these a try!

Korres lip butters.

The Korres lip butters are one my favorite things. They're very moisturizing and come in 7 different colors, one of which is just clear. The main ingredients in these is Shea Butter and Rice Wax, which are known to provide lots of moisture.

Obviously being a lip "butter" they are very nourishing but I find that they also deposit a good amount of color to my lips. They're definitely not as pigmented as a lipstick would be but on my lips (which already have a lot of color in them) they show up quite nicely!

The two colors I have are Pomegranate and Quince. On the swatches below Pomegranate is on the bottom and is a sheer coral and Quince, above it, is more on the pink side.

These are $12 for 0.24 and are available at Sephora. I would recommend these to EVERYONE! Especially those who want their lips to feel like silk!

Have a great weekend! xx

Formula 10.0.6 Seriously Shine Free

I am absolutely obsessed with anything to do with skincare. Over the weekend I picked up this mattifying oil-free moisturizer without knowing anything about the brand or the reviews. Sadly after trying this I'm regretting that decision.

I have oily skin and lately the moisturizer that I've been using just wasn't helping control it so I wanted something more mattifying. Being only $6.99 I figured it wouldn't hurt to try this out. Now it's not that this product was bad or I hated it or anything it simply did nothing for me. I was still shiny after about 2-3 hours. Application was fine but there is a smell to this. After purchasing I read reviews that said the smell was horrible but it didn't bother me at all.

Here it is outside the box. I really liked the packaging but as far as being mattifying? Definitely a no. It comes in a 75 ml tube and I bought mine at Ulta for $6.99. Back on my hunt for a good moisturizer for my oily skin :(

Lollia Relax Handcreme

lollToday I just had to rave about this lotion. This Lollia handcreme is in the fragrance Relax. The website describes the scent as a rich exotic blend of Lavender, Bee Blossom Honey with White Orchids and warm, woody undertones of Indian Amber delicately completed with a touch of Tahitian Vanilla. I personally absolutely love this scent, the best way I can describe it is very feminine and light. They also make other things like shower gel and perfumes in this scent which I would love to try next!

The formula is very rich and creamy but not greasy at all. I'm someone who is very picky about hand lotions and hate when I can really feel them on my hands but that is not the case with this. It cured my insanely dry hands during the winter and made them smell heavenly!
The price is $24 for 4oz and you can purchase from the website http://www.lollialife.com/products/relax-shea-butter-handcreme
Or from Anthropologie, where I got mine.

Take care everyone xx

New Sally Hansen nail polish strips.

Since we’re coming into Spring here and the weather is finally warming up, I figured it’s an appropriate time to review these new Salon Effects by Sally Hansen nail polish strips in “Not A Peep”.

Now, I’m not exactly sure how new these are but I just bought them last week at my local Meijer for around $8.50. They are basically stickers for your nails, which means no waiting for them to dry!

There are 16 nail polish strips per package and they come in many different patterns, but I just fell completely in love with these little birds. Adorable!

I will say that with having to place them on your nail correctly and filing them down it does take the same amount of time as regularly painting your nails, but these are perfect for when you want cute fun patterns to try out. It says they last 10 days and in the past mine have lasted about a week but overall I really love these!
